Head of Clinical - Laboratories

Provide strategic and clinical leadership across the Hemas laboratory network, ensuring high-quality, accurate and timely diagnostic services.

Lead clinical governance, quality assurance, and accreditation initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and patient safety standards.

Drive laboratory growth through service expansion, advanced diagnostics, automation and continuous process improvement.

Oversee laboratory operations, financial performance and quality indicators to ensure operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Lead and develop multidisciplinary laboratory teams while fostering strong collaboration with clinicians, hospital management and external stakeholders.

MBBS with MD/ D.Path/ MD (Clinical Pathology) or an equivalent postgraduate qualification with full SLMC registration and Board Certification as a Clinical Pathologist.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in laboratory medicine including at least 3 years in a senior leadership or supervisory role.

Experience in managing multi site or laboratory chain management, with exposure to ISO 15189/CAP accreditation, laboratory automation, digital pathology or Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) will be an added advantage.

Strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills with a commitment to clinical quality and patient safety.

Excellent communication, analytical, and change management skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Willingness and flexibility to travel across laboratory locations as required to support operational and clinical needs.
