MEDICAL OFFICERS – ICUs

Provide comprehensive medical care to patients admitted to the ICU.

Monitor and assess patients' conditions continuously and respond to changes promptly.

Manage life-threatening emergencies and initiate appropriate treatment.

Interpret investigations and monitor treatment outcomes.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in the HIS.

Communicate effectively with patients' relatives and provide updates.

Ensure adherence to ICU protocols, infection control, and quality standards.

Participate in clinical audits, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement activities.

MBBS degree recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC).

SLMC registration and valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).

Completion of internship.

Prior experience or interest in Intensive Care Medicine will be an added advantage.

Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle emergencies efficiently.

Good clinical knowledge, decision-making, and communication skills.

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Hospital Information System (HIS) will be an added advantage.
